AI Headshot Generator Pricing 2026: What HeadshotPro, Aragon and BetterPic Really Cost
For one person, HeadshotPro, Aragon and BetterPic list packages from $29 to $79. The sticker price is the least useful number. Your real cost depends on how many generated photos you can use, whether a weak batch can be fixed without paying again, and whether the provider's refund conditions still apply if the photos miss. Prices were checked on 12 October 2026 and are in US dollars.
How we checked
We read each company's pricing, refund and terms pages on 12 October 2026. Where a figure comes from a source other than the live pricing-page text, we say so. We did not test photo quality. Every usable-rate figure below is a labelled hypothetical, not a measurement.
What one person pays
| Package | Price | Images | Turnaround | Included edits and redo | Refund window |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HeadshotPro Basic | $29 | 30 | about 2 hours | 6 photo credits, no free redo | 14 days, no downloads |
| HeadshotPro Professional | $39 | 50 | about 30 min | 26 credits, 1 free redo | 14 days, no downloads |
| HeadshotPro Executive | $59 | 70 | about 15 min | 46 credits, 1 free redo, 4K downloads | 14 days, no downloads |
| Aragon Basic | $35 (list $44) | 40 | 45 min | 1 attire, 1 background | 14 days, no downloads |
| Aragon Standard | $45 (list $56) | 60 | 30 min | 2 attires, 2 backgrounds | 14 days, no downloads |
| Aragon Executive | $75 (list $94) | 100 | 15 min | All attires and backgrounds | 14 days, no downloads |
| BetterPic Basic | $35 | 20 | about 2 hours | 2 AI edits | 7 days, conditions apply |
| BetterPic Pro | $39* | 60 | about 1.5 hours | 4 AI edits | 7 days, conditions apply |
| BetterPic Expert | $79* | 120 | about 1 hour | 8 AI edits, unlimited human edits on one photo, 1 free redo | 7 days, conditions apply |
*BetterPic's Pro ($39) and Expert ($79) prices are corroborated by BetterPic's own machine-readable pricing file, which we retrieved through search rather than fetching directly. They are not confirmed in the live pricing-page text we could access, so verify both at checkout. Aragon's lower prices are a limited-time 20% discount on its list prices.
Prices are shown in dollars. BetterPic's pricing file says euros and pounds are available at checkout, with local prices that may vary, but we did not see sterling prices. The HeadshotPro and Aragon terms both state that fees are charged in US dollars. The pages we checked do not explain how card fees or VAT apply.
Price per generated image versus price per usable image
| Package | Price | Cost per generated image | Usable at 30% (hypothetical) | Cost per usable image (hypothetical) |

| HeadshotPro Basic | $29 | $0.97 | 9 | $3.22 |
| HeadshotPro Professional | $39 | $0.78 | 15 | $2.60 |
| HeadshotPro Executive | $59 | $0.84 | 21 | $2.81 |
| Aragon Basic | $35 | $0.88 | 12 | $2.92 |
| Aragon Standard | $45 | $0.75 | 18 | $2.50 |
| Aragon Executive | $75 | $0.75 | 30 | $2.50 |
| BetterPic Basic | $35 | $1.75 | 6 | $5.83 |
| BetterPic Pro | $39 | $0.65 | 18 | $2.17 |
| BetterPic Expert | $79 | $0.66 | 36 | $2.19 |
Aragon figures use current promotional prices.
Cost per usable image is the price divided by (generated images × usable rate). The usable rate appears on no pricing page, and none of the three companies publishes one. The final column assumes 30% of each batch is usable, which is hypothetical. At 15%, every figure doubles. A plan that is cheapest per generated image is cheapest per usable image only if its usable rate matches or beats its rivals'. HeadshotPro's own guarantee page warns that most photos in an order may not be keepers, so treat any rate as a guess until you have tested a batch. Packages with included edits can rescue near-misses that this model counts as failures, which narrows the gap.
Edits, retakes and extra orders
- HeadshotPro: Included photo credits (6, 26 or 46 by tier) cover edits. Professional and Executive include a free redo within 14 days. Basic lists none. Extra credit packs exist, but their price is not on the pages we checked.
- Aragon: The pricing page lists no edit or redo prices. A redo is offered free on request through support, but its refund policy says redos and refunds are reviewed case by case, and photos that did not follow the upload instructions can disqualify a refund.
- BetterPic: Its FAQ puts a human edit at $8 and a redo at $10. Expert includes one free redo and unlimited human edits on one photo. The same FAQ also says "unlimited edit requests at $8 each", which does not match Expert's wording. Ask which applies before you buy.
A second order costs full price unless you hold team credits.
A realistic one-person purchase (hypothetical)
Imagine a marketing manager who needs one LinkedIn photo and one company bio photo. Assume 30% of her batch is usable. A HeadshotPro Professional order gives her about 15 usable images, 26 edit credits for small fixes and a free redo within 14 days. Her total is $39, even if she needs the redo.
HeadshotPro Basic costs $29 and has no free redo. If its batch misses, a second Basic order brings her total to $58, which is $19 more than one Professional order. The cheaper package wins only when its first batch works.
Refunds do not solve this. Each provider's documented conditions restrict refunds once photos have been downloaded, and downloading is what makes a photo usable. Aragon says you can preview before downloading, so review the full set first.
A ten-person team (illustrative)
| Option | How the price is set | Ten people | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| HeadshotPro team credits | 1 credit = 1 person's shoot; volume discounts | $253.50–$312 (illustrative calculation, not a quote) | 40 headshots and 1 free retry each; admin picks styles; card, bank transfer or invoice |
| Aragon Teams Basic | $45 per person; up to 20% off when buying credits | $360–$450 | 100-headshot album each (team FAQ); 1 free edit each; 1 custom background |
| BetterPic teams | $39 per person in the 5–14 seat band | $390 | Unlimited touch-ups on favourites; 3 company-approved styles |
| Individual purchases | HeadshotPro Professional $39; BetterPic Pro $39; Aragon Standard $45 | $390–$450 | No central styling; you collect the files |
| Photographer (vendor estimates) | BetterPic: $100–$300 per session; Aragon: about $250 average | $1,000–$3,000 | Before time off, travel and retouching |
The HeadshotPro figure is an illustrative calculation, not a quote for ten employees. Its pricing page publishes a 20% discount at five credits and a 35% discount at 100 credits, and the 35% figure implies a $39 base price per shoot. Assuming the discount at ten credits falls between those two endpoints gives $253.50 to $312. The exact amount depends on HeadshotPro's calculator.
Individual purchases cost the same or more and leave you chasing files and styles. Team tools lock backgrounds and styles so the set matches.
Two cautions. Aragon's terms say team administrators can access members' uploads and outputs, so tell staff before they upload. BetterPic's refund policy says purchases made with credits are not refundable, so a bulk credit order is a full commitment.
Refunds, ownership and privacy
Marketing pages promise money-back guarantees. HeadshotPro says "money back if it doesn't look like you", and BetterPic advertises a "100% guarantee". The documented conditions below decide whether a refund is actually available.
| Provider | Window | Documented restrictions | Timing | Team rules |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HeadshotPro | 14 days from payment | Full refund if no AI photos have been downloaded. After downloads, quality or technical complaints are reviewed at HeadshotPro's discretion. | Self-serve refunds usually within 1 business day | At cost once 10+ models exist; later purchases are non-refundable after any earlier refund |
| Aragon | 14 calendar days from purchase | Downloads count as use. Refunds can be refused if upload instructions were not followed. Redos and refunds are case by case. | Reviewed in 1–3 business days; paid back in 5–10 business days | Partial refunds for unused credits only |
| BetterPic | 7 days from purchase | Full refund only if the order is not completed and no model has been trained. Otherwise a 10% withholding applies in some documents. No refund for downloaded images from a trained model. Quality complaints are assessed against BetterPic's photo guidelines. | 7–10 business days | Purchases made with credits are non-refundable |
BetterPic's refund rules appear in three documents that disagree. Its FAQ offers a refund within seven days if training has not started. Its refund policy, dated 16 July 2024, adds a 10% withholding fee where an order has started or a model is trained but nothing has been downloaded. Its terms, updated 8 October 2025, mention a 10% withholding on refunds without that qualifier. Get the answer in writing before you pay.
Ownership. HeadshotPro's terms assign whatever rights it holds in the generated headshots to you, and say that neither uploads nor outputs will be used to train its models. Aragon's terms assign outputs to you for personal or commercial use, to the extent of its own rights, but warn that similar images may be made for other users and that Aragon may use outputs to improve its services. BetterPic's FAQ promises full ownership and a commercial licence. In the terms we reviewed, we found no clause expressly assigning generated photos to you. One third-party review describes the Basic plan as personal use only, which conflicts with BetterPic's own tier list. For commercial use, get the licence wording in writing.
Privacy. These points are taken from each company's own documents, and the company pages sometimes disagree with each other.
- HeadshotPro: Its terms say input photos are deleted 30 days after the gallery is generated, or sooner if you delete them. Its FAQ also says generated results auto-delete after 30 days, while its feature list says you keep and download results. Its FAQ says download links for kept photos last seven days. Check your account and download promptly.
- BetterPic: Its terms (updated 8 October 2025) allow uploads to be kept for up to one year and trained models and outputs for up to three years. Individual users can delete uploads through the interface. Primary storage is in the EU (Frankfurt region), with some customer data held in the US. Its free-tier terms allow marketing use and model training. Paid-tier data is governed by separate agreements, which we did not review.
- Aragon: Its terms state that it has no obligation to store outputs, so keep your own copies.
- Sign-in: HeadshotPro's terms (dated 4/09/2024) say most features require connecting a Facebook or Google account, which they describe as submitting login credentials to HeadshotPro. We did not verify the current sign-in flow, so check it before you sign up.
- Territory: HeadshotPro's terms say the service is intended for visitors in the United States. Aragon's terms make no representation that the service is appropriate outside the US. BetterPic's terms cover its websites in Europe and the United States.
- Security claims: Each company's own pages claim SOC 2 Type II. We did not read the reports or the privacy policies.
When a photographer is still the better buy
A studio session is the better choice in four situations:
- You need a print-size file. Aragon's Standard output is 896 × 1,088 pixels. Its Executive output is 1,792 × 2,176, which is about 6 × 7¼ inches at 300 dpi. Check the delivered size against your use.
- You need an image nobody else has. Aragon warns that outputs can resemble images made for other users.
- You want to avoid a disclosure question. Aragon's terms prohibit presenting AI output as authentic where that would mislead. A real photograph on a company page removes the question.
- You need something outside the offered styles. Packages limit you to set backgrounds and outfits, so a specific wardrobe or look is better handled by a photographer.
FAQs
Which is cheapest for one person? By sticker price, HeadshotPro Basic at $29. Per generated image, BetterPic Pro is lowest at $0.65, followed by Aragon Standard and Executive at $0.75. Per usable image depends on a usable rate that none of them publishes, so the cheapest tier is a guess until you have tested one batch.
Can I get my money back if the photos don't look like me? Only under each provider's documented conditions. HeadshotPro's terms give a full refund within 14 days if you have downloaded nothing; after downloads, quality complaints are discretionary. Aragon's refunds run for 14 days from purchase, exclude downloaded photos, and can be refused where upload instructions were not followed. BetterPic offers a full refund only in a narrow case within seven days, applies a 10% withholding in other documented cases, and gives nothing for downloaded images from a trained model. BetterPic credits are never refundable. Team refunds are partial at Aragon, at cost at HeadshotPro once 10 or more models exist, and unavailable for BetterPic credits.
Do I own the photos, and can I use them commercially? HeadshotPro's and Aragon's terms assign whatever rights they hold in the outputs to you, for personal and commercial use. BetterPic's FAQ says you get full ownership and a commercial licence, but the terms we reviewed contain no clause expressly assigning generated photos to you. For a company website, get written confirmation, and remember that similar images may exist for other users.
Is it safe to upload selfies? Retention terms differ. HeadshotPro's terms say uploads are deleted 30 days after the gallery is generated. BetterPic's terms allow uploads to be kept for up to a year and trained models and outputs for up to three years. Aragon's terms say it has no obligation to store outputs. Download what you need, request deletion when you finish, and read each privacy policy, which we did not review.
