OneTrust vs BigID vs Securiti.ai: Real AI Data Privacy and Governance Cost in 2026

The short answer: none publishes a complete direct rate card. Securiti does expose a $100,000 12-month platform-fee anchor through AWS Marketplace, while module and usage pricing remains quote-driven. All three sell modular platforms, so the quote you receive depends on which modules you switch on far more than on how many employees you have. Procurement data puts a typical OneTrust contract near $10,500–$11,800 a year with a $10,000 annual minimum introduced in 2026. BigID was reported at $15,000–$175,000 a year. Securiti had a $49,841 procurement median and a $100,000 platform fee in its AWS Marketplace listing. Converting those into cost per connected data source gives anything from about $3 to about $1,000 per source per year, which is why a per-source price is only meaningful once you know which sources and which modules are in scope.

What each vendor bills

OneTrust (REPORTED). No public price list. Vendr transaction data reported a median near $10,514–$11,800 a year across hundreds of purchases, a common range of about $1,400–$42,500, and larger deployments of $50,000 to $300,000 or more. A $10,000 annual minimum was reported as effective from Q2 2026 (one source said March 2026 renewals), up from about $5,000 in late 2025. Module-level figures reported by a consent vendor were about $827 a month for Consent and Preference Essentials ($9,924 a year) and about $3,680 a month for the Privacy Essentials Suite covering data mapping, third-party risk and assessments ($44,160 a year). A Forrester study modeled a composite $15 billion-revenue organization paying $292,000 a year. Cookie consent was reported to have moved from per-domain to traffic-based metering, with some renewing customers reporting much larger bills. Renewal proposals of 10–80% were reported, with 20–40% typical. Implementation was reported as $10,000–$50,000 one-time by one source and 20–40% of the annual license by another.

BigID (OFFICIAL for the pricing drivers, REPORTED for dollar figures). BigID does not list prices; its own pricing page confirms that pricing depends on the number of data sources, apps and connectors, deployment type, and service and support level, and it sells security and privacy bundles on top of a discovery foundation. A market-analysis site reported enterprise pricing of $15,000 to $175,000 a year. A review platform reported an average discount of 20% and an average implementation time of one month (user-reported).

Securiti (OFFICIAL for the listing, REPORTED for procurement). Securiti's AWS Marketplace listing shows a Securiti Platform Fee of $100,000 for a 12-month contract, with recurring monthly usage fees billed through the AWS account. A separate DSPM listing is usage-based. Vendr reported a median of $49,841 a year (range $4,650–$80,612) with average savings of 16%. One buyer reported an $8,000 implementation credit after a disappointing rollout, in exchange for a two-year renewal. Securiti was reported as acquired by Veeam in October 2025. The listing's usage rates and any module-level prices were not publicly listed (QUOTE-ONLY / UNKNOWN).

Because the Vendr medians and the Marketplace platform fee are for different purchase channels and scopes, the two Securiti figures should be read as a range of what buyers paid rather than as a contradiction.

The scenarios

The pairings are ILLUSTRATIVE: small = 50 data sources and 100 employees; mid = 500 sources and 1,000 employees; large = 5,000 sources and 10,000 employees. None of the reported contract values states how many sources or employees it covered, so the per-source and per-employee figures below are implied costs if that contract covered the stated count.

Formulas: cost per source = annual contract ÷ sources; cost per employee = annual contract ÷ employees.

ScenarioVendor and reported anchorAnnual amountPer sourcePer employee
SmallOneTrust minimum$10,000$200$100

MidOneTrust $20,000–$42,000$20,000–$42,000$40–$84$20–$42
MidBigID range$15,000–$175,000$30–$350$15–$175
MidSecuriti Vendr median$49,841$100$50

LargeOneTrust $50,000–$300,000$50,000–$300,000$10–$60$5–$30

LargeBigID high end$175,000$35$17.50
LargeSecuriti platform fee, before usage$100,000+$20+$10+

Per-source cost falls steeply with scale on every vendor, but that is mostly a property of fixed contract floors: a $10,000 minimum spread over 50 sources is $200 a source; the same platform fee spread over 5,000 sources is $2.

Module scope is the real variable

The reported numbers describe different bundles. OneTrust's $44,160 suite includes data mapping, third-party risk and assessments, but the consent product is separately priced at about $9,924 a year, and data discovery and classification appears as its own product. BigID's discovery foundation is licensed with optional security, privacy and governance bundles. Securiti's Data Command Center sells modules per use case (security, privacy, governance and AI). A quote that includes discovery does not automatically include DSR automation, consent management or AI governance, and each added module raises the total. Ask for each module as a line item.

First-year versus steady state

Using OneTrust at a $50,000 license as a worked example: implementation of $10,000–$20,000 (20–40% of the license) or $10,000–$50,000 (the one-time range) gives a first-year total of $60,000–$100,000. A typical 20–40% renewal uplift then makes year two $60,000–$70,000, and the reported extremes of 10–80% make it $55,000–$90,000. Multi-year contracts were reported as standard for OneTrust.

Break-even: compliance labor hours

Formula: hours needed = annual cost ÷ loaded hourly cost, with $80 an hour for privacy and compliance staff (ILLUSTRATIVE). For data-subject requests, break-even requests per year = annual cost ÷ (hours saved per request × hourly cost), assuming 6 hours saved per request (ILLUSTRATIVE).

Annual costHours to break evenDSARs per year to break even
$10,00012521
$44,16055292
$49,841623104
$100,0001,250208
$292,0003,650608

A company that receives fewer than about 100 data-subject requests a year cannot justify a $50,000 platform on DSAR labor alone. Discovery, mapping and AI governance must carry the rest of the case, and those benefits (avoided incidents, audit readiness) are harder to convert into hours.

Sensitivity

  1. Sources in scope. If only 100 of 500 sources are actually connected, the Securiti median moves from $100 to $498 per connected source.
  2. Traffic or subject volume. OneTrust's consent module was reported to meter on traffic, and data-subject volume was reported as a pricing driver.
  3. Minimums. At small scale the $10,000 minimum, not the module list, sets the price.
  4. Renewal uplift. The spread between 10% and 80% at renewal is larger than most first-year discounts.

Budgeting traps

  • Assuming one platform quote covers every module. Discovery, DSR, consent, mapping and AI governance are separate buying decisions.
  • Per-source pricing surprises. BigID's stated drivers include sources, apps and connectors, so adding SaaS applications raises the bill.
  • Implementation as a separate line. It was reported in both dollar and percentage terms and varies by source.
  • Marketplace usage fees. A Marketplace platform fee is not the full annual bill if monthly usage fees apply.

What to ask before you buy

Ask for a written module-by-module quote, the connector count and pricing, the renewal uplift cap, and the implementation scope. Then compute cost per connected source and per employee for the modules you actually use.
