11x vs Artisan vs Regie.ai: Real AI SDR Cost vs Hiring a Human SDR

DIRECT ANSWER

The short answer

Against a US SDR budgeted at $85,000–$120,000 a year, an AI SDR priced like 11x needs about 62 to 103 qualified meetings a year (5 to 9 a month), or 43% to 71% of a human's assumed 144, to match cost per meeting. Against an offshore SDR budgeted at $21,000–$39,000, it needs 191 to 416 meetings, which is 132% to 289% of what the human delivers. These figures use 11x's published license price plus an assumed oversight cost and no separate email or data infrastructure, because 11x bundles them. Regie.ai's current self-serve product is priced from $41–$49 a month per person and is better treated as rep augmentation than as an SDR replacement; Artisan publishes no price and cannot be included. The human cost ranges and output are illustrative assumptions.

Sources are the vendors' own pages, listed below. 11x's own FAQ describes a fully loaded human SDR as costing $8,000 to $12,000 a month; that is a vendor claim and is not used here.

Annual cost of each option

Illustrative assumptions: oversight of the AI five hours a week at $60 an hour ($15,600 a year); no separate email or data infrastructure, because 11x's Growth plan includes managed mailboxes, warmup and contact data; your own CRM license is not modeled; a human SDR delivers 12 qualified meetings a month (144 a year).

OptionAnnual costFormula
11x, low$51,600$36,000 license + $15,600 oversight
11x, high$60,600$45,000 license + $15,600 oversight
US SDR (illustrative)$85,000–$120,000assumption
Offshore SDR (illustrative)$21,000–$39,000assumption, including supervision

Human cost per meeting at 144 meetings: US $590–$833; offshore $146–$271. 11x cost per meeting at 144 meetings: $358–$421.

Break-even

Meetings the AI must book = AI annual cost ÷ (human annual cost ÷ 144). The low end pairs the lowest AI cost with the highest human cost; the high end pairs the highest AI cost with the lowest human cost.

ComparisonMeetings per yearPer monthShare of a human's 144
11x vs US SDR62–1035.2–8.643%–71%
11x vs offshore SDR191–41615.9–34.6132%–289%

Meeting value is not equal

If AI-booked meetings convert to opportunities at half the human rate (illustrative: 40% versus 20%), the break-even meetings double: 124–205 a year against a US SDR and 381–831 against an offshore SDR. At 144 meetings and a 40% conversion, a human produces 57.6 opportunities: US $1,476–$2,083 each, offshore $365–$677. An AI booking 144 meetings costs $896–$1,052 per opportunity at 40% and $1,792–$2,104 at 20%.

Regie.ai as augmentation

Regie's current self-serve plans are per person: Pro costs $492 a year on annual billing ($41 × 12) or $588 on monthly billing ($49 × 12), and a Team seat costs $1,500 to $1,800 a year ($125 or $150 × 12). Because the human stays, Regie pays back if it raises a rep's qualified meetings by at least its cost divided by the rep's cost. For Pro, that is 0.41%–0.69% against a US rep ($492 ÷ $120,000 to $588 ÷ $85,000) and 1.26%–2.80% against an offshore rep ($492 ÷ $39,000 to $588 ÷ $21,000). For a Team seat it is 1.25%–2.12% (US) and 3.85%–8.57% (offshore). Pro's 5,000 monthly credits cover research, enrichment, drafting and dialing; Regie's page does not state how many credits a task uses, so heavier use may exhaust the allowance and the cost of exceeding it is not published.

What the advertised price misses

Oversight and your own CRM license are outside the 11x price; contact data, mailboxes, warmup and onboarding are bundled by 11x. The Growth plan caps output at 2,000 new prospects a month, and meetings depend on reply rates that no vendor guarantees. Deliverability problems on a sending domain stop human and AI sending alike. Regie's credits reset without rollover, and its optional overage billing is priced by an unpublished rate.

Which situation fits

A US-cost SDR seat with an email-responsive ICP: test an AI SDR, since the break-even is a fraction of one human's output. An existing offshore team: the AI must beat the human on meetings booked, so augmentation such as Regie is the more plausible comparison. No one to review messaging: budget the oversight explicitly.
